When I'm in Waikiki for any length of time I always try to eat here at least once. Their menu is expansive...you will find a main course and portion size to suit anyone and the sides are delicious. I'm a fan of the BBQ chicken full portion and with the generous amount of chicken plus the four included sides, you won't want to eat again for 24 hours. They also have soups and smaller meal options too. I've never had a bad meal here.
Lastly, it seems like a popular sport to say mean things about the staff in these reviews. I have always been treated politely here and have observed the same treatment to everyone else in the restaurant while I've waited for my meal to be prepared. The restaurant is popular with tourists who often don't have a strong command of English and I've never seen them treated disrespectfully. Disregard the hateful comments about the staff and go enjoy a very reasonably priced meal in Waikiki. -

Hole in the wall with decent Korean food. I come here everytime I'm in Oahu. It's right across the street from the musubi place.
+hits the spot for Korean food
+kalbi and bibimbap are both solid -

Yum! And to think I almost didn't stop by from the last few reviews about bad customer service, I'm glad I wasn't discouraged from that. We were staying a few blocks from this place and have walked pass it multiple times. After debating what to eat for a while, we settled in Korean. Make sure you bring CASH!!!
We stop by around 6pm and there were people trickling in already. There aren't any seating inside, but there are several tables outside for you to enjoy your food. I ordered the Sunny's special, which consist of bbq chicken, Kalbi, meat jun and mandoo. The guy behind the counter greeted me and asked me what I wanted. After paying, I was handed a number. They will call you first for your sides. I picked buckwheat noodles, potato, Kim chee and broccoli. Then they will call you again when your meats are ready. The nice lady gave me sauce for the mandoo and put my box in a bag for me. There are silverware and other sauces for your choosing on the counter.
I couldn't wait to chow down on the food and they were all amazing!! The meats were tender and grilled to perfection. The mandoo was fried and had plenty of filling. The meat jun was good and fried with plenty of egg wash. The sides were all great- packed with flavor. I'm so glad I finally came by for a bite! No regrets. -

Decent food, reasonable prices, uninspired staff.
The portions are large enough that two people can share a platter and be full. The food is made to order, so you can expect your meal to arrive sizzling hot. If you order a meal platter, you can select 4 sides; options include salad, potato salad, Cole slaw, Korean clear noodles, kimchi, stir-fried veggies, cucumbers and others. Prices will be around $15US.
When I visited, the staff seemed uninterested in their work. Mind you, it was late in the day and close to closing time and very hot. But, a hello, a smile or other acknowledgement would be appreciated. Something tells me that this establishment is a family owned and operated so it isn't likely that staff are fearful of reprimand or termination. There's no incentive to be friendly. -

Was working on a project at a nearby hotel today and needed a lunch that wasn't McDonald's but still reasonably priced for Waikiki. A few of the hotel workers told me to check out Me's because they were fast and the food was pretty good.
Looked on Yelp and saw that they had pretty good ratings. So headed over. A bunch of other people must've thought the same thing because this tiny little establishment had a line coming out of the place. The bummer was that they are cash only so it's good things I had some.
The eatery is literally a counter and a small waiting area. If you wanted to eat there, there are a few tables outside that you can dine on. It's fast food Korean, order what you want, and then pick some sides. I had the meat jun. I am a fan of their meat jun because it's not thick or fatty and it feels like the meat and egg is pressed, which is what I like, it's on the thinner side. But thinner doesn't mean you don't get a lot of food. You definitely get a lot and I can't even finish the entire plate that comes with rice and 4 sides. I hear the BBQ chicken is also good. Would come here again if I have the chance.
The best part is for what I got that's $10.95. It would cost close to $14 at other fast food Korean joints.
